Description
In this futuristic politically-charged thriller, a worldwide cyberwar with Russia ends our hyper-connected technological world as we know it. A short time after this international internet shutdown event known as "The Dark", we follow Carver, a former special forces super-soldier who after losing his eyes during this event, gets caught up on a mission hunting down Camille, a NSA analyst who has stolen dangerous information. With a potential war with China on the horizon, Carver and Camille are thrown together to get the world back on track while a shadowy force that is manipulating events is hot on their heels.
Author Biography
Mark Sable is a writer for print, stage and screen best known for his creator-owned comic books. Mark Sable is a professional writer and writing professor. He earned a B.A. in English from Duke University, and MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and a J.D. from USC Law School. He has been teaching for SVA's MFA in Visual Narrative program since the Fall of 2013. Mark is best known for his comics work. He's written such characters as SPIDER-MAN for Marvel Comics and BATMAN for DC. His passion however is his creator-owned work, including GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES, GROUNDED, FEARLESS and HAZED for Image Comics and UNTHINKABLE for Boom! Studios. The feature film rights to Unthinkable and Hazed were optioned by Mandalay Entertainment and Barry Josephson, Fox and producer Howard Gordon (24, Homeland) bought the TV rights to Unthinkable in 2013. Mark was hired to create the original animated pilot Polarity for Cartoon Network and is currently adapting Graveyard of Empires for the screen as well. Two new graphic novels, THE DARK and DRACULA- SON OF THE DRAGONS are due to be published by Comixology Originals in the Fall of 2019, and his series GODKILLERS is scheduled for an early 2020 release from Aftershock Comics.
