Description

Pine Island is a remote getaway for campers and hikers. So when Darius and the rest of the Wilderness Warriors show up for a late summer trip the area is practically empty. The group sets off into the woods but they soon experience eerie sounds and strange sightings as if they're being tracked by something that is not quite animal but not quite human. When they wake one morning to find their guide's tent empty the Wilderness Warriors discover their terrifying journey is only just beginning.

Author Biography

Neil Evans is a Welsh illustrator. A lifelong comic art fan, he drifted into childrens' illustration at art college and has since done plenty of both. He enjoyed a few years as a member of various unheard of indie rock bands (and as a maker of bizarre small press comics), before settling down to get serious about making a living from illustration. He loves depicting emotion, expression and body language, and loves inventing unusual creatures and places. When not hunched over the graphics tablet he can usually be found hunched over a guitar, or dreaming up book pitches and silly songs with his partner Susannah. They live together in North Wales. Brandon Terrel (B. 1978-D. 2021) was a passionate reader, Star Wars enthusiast, amazing father, son, uncle, friend and devoted husband. He worked as an assistant director and producer on numerous independent films and commercial productions, as well as writing for the "Choo Choo Bob Show." Brandon received his undergraduate degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and his Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University. Brandon was a talented storyteller, authoring more than 100 books for children in his career. In Brandon's memory, consider picking up a Stephen King novel or a comic book, re-watching The Mandalorian, reading an old Hardy Boys adventure, and saving an open seat for the next Star Wars movie.
