He is General Editor of the Dictionary of Early American Philosophers (2012) and the Dictionary of Modern American Philosophers (2005).

Each entry includes a highly condensed but thoughtful biography and a bibliography of the subject's work and secondary source materials following each entry. The entries range between 500 and 2,000 words. Even the shorter entries are informative and well written.
