Description
"It's not just about our love of motorcycling and meeting people and embracing cultures. It's also about who we are as people and how important true friendship is to both of us". Following the global success of their previous books, Long Way Round and Long Way Down, Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman are back together again, partnering this time with Apple+ TV, for a three-month, 13,000-mile adventure across the physical landscape of South America, and through the deep emotional territory of a unique friendship. Older and wiser, and riding electric Harley Davidsons for the very first time, they have embarked on a once-in-a lifetime trip from the southernmost tip of South America, Tierra del Fuego, through the incredible landscapes of Bolivia and Peru and bustling Mexican towns, all the way up to the City of Angels. Long Way Up is a page-turning, frank and highly entertaining travel book about two men riding round the world together and, against all the odds, living their dreams. It's also about two friends who drifted apart and found each other again, each one newly appreciating the profound value that a deep long-term friendship can bring. Here, with their trademark humour and honesty they tell their story - the drama, the dangers and the sheer exhilaration of riding together again, through a trip filled with jeopardy, magic and wonder.
