Description
It's chaos once more on the bridge of the Toxic Spew. But this time, the ship's problems are of a most human nature - they've run out of food! Mutiny, cannibalism and plain old theft are suggested as potential problem-solvers. At this point the ISS is mentioned?no, not the International Space Station?the Interstellar Service Station...But the ISS is spookily deserted and it's not long before Harvey suspects there's something fishy going on...and he's not just talking about the Spew's malfunctioning rubbish chute. Can Harvey unite his crew one more time and solve the mystery of the abandoned space station? Will Scrummage really eat Yargal if they don't find some food? Join the gang for another rip-roaring, space-hopping and (frankly) stomach-turning adventure on the universe's worst intergalactic rubbish truck.
Author Biography
Cas spent many years having a fabulous time, and a great deal of fun, working in children's television drama with CBBC. She developed and executive produced lots of programmes including JACKANORY, MUDDLE EARTH, THE MAGICIAN OF SAMARKAND, BIG KIDS and THE STORY OF TRACY BEAKER. Now Cas writes books for children, helps out in a primary school library (where she is Patron of Reading) and looks after her family full-time. She has four children, a daft dog called Bramble and she lives in Oxfordshire. She would absolutely love to go into space. But not on the Toxic Spew. Follow Cas on Twitter: @Cas_Lester
ReviewsHugely original and wildly funny, a true page turner that will delight any child. -- Jacqueline Wilson, (Praise for the HARVEY DREW series) This is a fast paced space adventure with its tongue firmly in its cheek. Readers will be amused by the jokey tone of the narrator, the slapstick behaviour of the crew and the disgusting descriptions of space rubbish (not for the squeamish). A fun read for boys and girls alike. * Books for Keeps (Praise for HARVEY DREW AND THE BINMEN FROM OUTER SPACE) *
