Description
The Savages are back, trying for a fresh start in Florida. Baby Kat is growing up, becoming quite the evil little angel, and Sasha has left home, studying forensic science and criminology at a university in New York. While Sasha is away, the family lets in a lodger, Amanda - whom they need to keep a close eye on considering what she knows about them.Adjusting to the American lifestyle is taking its toll on the family (and their waistlines - their carnivorous diet in their new home has been less than lean...) Although he certainly tries, Ivan just doesn't get the 'all-American' thing, growing increasingly resentful of the rampant consumer culture. Grandpa falls for the elderly Irene, becoming more and more indiscreet of the Savages' culinary habits, much to the family's concern. Titus, meanwhile, is infuriated by Amanda's provocative boss at the restaurant where she works, unabashedly hitting on her. And Angelica seems unable to resist the temptations of being a Florida beach bunny, hunky personal trainer included...Have the Savages finally bitten off more than they can chew?

ReviewsJust occasionally I read a book so deliciously dark ... that it takes my breath away - and this is such a book. * Daily Mail - praise for THE SAVAGES *
