Description

Was poetry something you dreaded in school? Have you secretly scribbled it in the margins of notebooks? Has it changed your life? In this slim and accessible field guide, spoken word poets Andrea Gibson and Megan Falley invite readers to explore their relationships with verse and welcome more poetry, more joy, and more awe into their lives. Whether poetry devotees or total novices, readers will learn to find poetry in unexpected places, navigate a poem when they don't quite "get it," have fun at a poetry slam, and tap into the transformative power of this under-appreciated art form.
