High school sweethearts Lauren and Rory are a golden couple. They marry after college just as Rory, a star hockey player, earns a spot in the NHL. Their future looks bright when Rory shocks everyone by enlisting in the U.S. Army. When he dies in combat, Lauren is devastated and alone.
