Description

The luxury book of the season MOOD is a journey through exquisite interiors brilliantly designed to evoke seven key emotions - Happy, Relaxed, Energized, Cozy, Sexy, Tranquil, and Nostalgic. In Anne Hepfer's world, a home is a complex reflection of who you are, and the people, places and ideas that matter most. For this, her first, book, the acclaimed designer explores the power of a stylish and soul-nourishing refuge of one's own. Drawing inspiration from influences as wide-ranging as travel, music, food and drink, fashion, and nature, Hepfer shares her process and opens the doors to the masterful spaces she has crafted for both international clients and her own family. Filled with exuberant color and meditative reflections, MOOD is an ever-evolving journey through the seven key emotions a brilliantly designed home should evoke: happy, relaxed, energized, cozy, sexy, tranquil, and nostalgic. "WOW, WOW, WOW! I love everything about Anne Hepfer's great and giving book, MOOD: the concept, the content, the design, the fun!" -Doug Turshen, Book Designer & Art Director "Hepfer keeps things playful, fun, and personal. Armchair designers will eat this up." -Publishers Weekly

Reviews

"They say not to judge a book by its cover, but this book's bold royal blue cover is showstopping. Just wait until you see all the beautiful projects featured inside the pages."--Amanda Lauren "Forbes" (9/20/2022 12:00:00 AM) "Designer Anne Hepfer's new book is not simply an impressive portfolio with beautifully completed projects. Rather, the book demystifies her creative process...revealing how music, travel, food, art, and personal sensibilities converge and shape design projects."-- "Hello Lovely" (9/19/2022 12:00:00 AM) "Finally, a coffee-table book that you haven't seen plastered all over social media."--Talia Abbas and Andrea Navarro "Glamour" (9/13/2022 12:00:00 AM) "We highly recommend adding this color-happy treatise to your shelf."--Hadley Kedler "House Beautiful" (9/12/2022 12:00:00 AM) "The luxury book of the season ...."--HollyPhillips "The English Room" (8/30/2022 12:00:00 AM) "Love the blue cover. Stunning!"--Jill Waage, Editor in Chief "Traditional Home" (8/29/2022 12:00:00 AM) "Hepfer keeps things playful, fun, and personal. Armchair designers will eat this up."-- "Publishers Weekly" (5/1/2022 12:00:00 AM) "WOW, WOW, WOW! I love everything about Anne Hepfer's great and giving book, MOOD: the concept, the content, the design, the fun!"--Doug Turshen, Book Designer & Art Director (4/1/2022 12:00:00 AM) "Indeed, as I perused the images of Hepfer's home, Pharrell William's ode to nonconformist elation began thumping in my head. And though "Happy" is not on any of her playlists, it stayed with me as I browsed the projects in the "Relaxed" and "Energized" chapters, all the way through to the "Nostalgic" close. Why didn't the interiors representing these different moods switch my internal soundtrack? Probably because, like Pharrell's epic earworm, Hepfer's interiors, whether vivid or muted, are all seductively light and airy yet masterfully composed, and message personal authenticity at every turn."--Marisa Bartolucci "1st Dibs" (1/15/2023 12:00:00 AM)
