Description
Simplicity is the new era of chic. Far from the stuffy extravagance associated with three French kings - all named Louis, with numerals in ascending order - clean, not stuffy reflects the culture and times. Through stunning photography and authoritative prose, interior designer Betty Lou Phillips fuses glamour and comfort with upscale sensibilities fitting 21st century American life.
Author Biography
Betty Lou Phillips is the author of fourteen books on French and Italian design, including the award-winning Villa Decor. A professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers, her work has been featured in countless magazines and newspapers. Additionally, she has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show. She lives in Dallas, Texas.
ReviewsIn her latest book, Phillips reminds us of the important distinction between classic (good) and dated (bad). Once again, she lets the French lead the way, while throwing us a lifeline to pull us out of our home-decor ruts. Seriously, looking through these pages is like setting a firecracker off under your derriere, launching you off the sofa and inspiring you to change it up.--Marni Jameson "The Times-Picayune" (11/14/2019 12:00:00 AM)
