Description
Now a fully-fledged unicorn (no, not the horse kind, the ultra-powerful human-looking kind), Neon Gallup is LOVING her secret double life in the extraordinary UNI-VERSE, creating goo-powered magic and going on adventures with her unicorn friends. Little does she know that she has been spotted opening a portal by none other than the neighbourhood unicorn hunter, Priscilla. Now that she's seen Neon's portal opener, Priscilla is determined to steal it and destroy unicorns once and for all. With the unicorn hunters closing in on all sides, will Neon discover the sinister plot in time to save the day once again?
Author Biography
Sibeal Pounder is the author of two much-loved and seriously stylish children's fiction series, Witch Wars and Bad Mermaids. Before becoming a full-time writer, she worked for the Financial Times where she researched the How To Spend It section and wrote the For Goodness' Sake column. Her first book, Witch Wars, was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize and the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award and she was also a World Book Day author for 2019. Her latest book, Tinsel, is a funny feminist play on the tropes of Christmas and was extremely well-received by booksellers and readers alike. Sarah Warburton - a super-talented, super-illustrator superhero - works in a studio at the bottom of her garden. She lives in Bristol in a homely hideaway.
ReviewsFun, funny, magical and fizzing with imagination * Sophie Anderson, author of The House with Chicken Legs * A glorious, galloping, life-affirming stampede of pure multi-coloured joy * Chris Smith, author of Kid Normal, The Great Dream Robbery and Frankie Best Hates Quests * I adored not-at-all normal Neon and her madcap adventure * Joanna Nadin, author of The Worst Class in the World series * The inside of Sibeal Pounder's head must be a spectacular place! Full of colour and glitter and goo - and a bonkersly brilliant imagination! * Lesley Parr, author of The Valley of Lost Secrets and When the War Came Home * Bright, bubbly and never knowingly normal, Neon's Secret Universe is a whirlwind of witty wonderful adventure! * Mo O'Hara, author of My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish and Agent Moose * [An] imaginative adventure that's as silly as it is magical * i *
