Description
**A triumph - Daily Mail** **Laughter, action, colour, rhyme, silliness, chaos, a king, a feast and a fairytale setting - The Royal Leap-Frog has all these - Sunday Times** ----------------- When a flea, a grasshopper and a frog compete to show the King who can jump the highest, it causes CHAOS in the royal dining hall. Who can jump the highest? Can the clever leap-frog use his wits to win? And will the Emperor's dog EVER get rid of the flea? This funny and irresistible retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's classic fable, 'The Leap Frog', will make children laugh - AND show them that brains are sometimes better than brawn. With a pitch-perfect rhyming text by bestselling Peter Bently, and gloriously detailed illustrations by award-winning Claire Powell, this is an unmissable treat for all ages!

ReviewsLaughter, action, colour, rhyme, silliness, chaos, a king, a feast and a fairytale setting - The Royal Leap-Frog ... has all these in the story of a frog, a flea and a grasshopper in a jumping contest * Sunday Times * Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's original tale, this madcap rhyming story of a flea, a grasshopper and a frog who compete to see who can jump highest and ask the King to adjudicate is a triumph * Daily Mail * I would highly recommend this beautiful book. The combination of the rhyme, exciting story and stunning illustration is bound to delight any little one and their grown-up at story time * Armadillo Magazine * Incredibly clever and funny, with amazing illustrations which are as elaborate as the king's majestic wardrobe * Picture Book Snob on THE KING'S BIRTHDAY SUIT * Hilarious... Narrated through a masterful rhyming text that bounces along as energetically as its characters, The Royal Leap Frog is a delight to read aloud * Inis Magazine (Children's Books Ireland) *
