Author Biography
Kirstine Beeley is an ex-teacher with experience across a range of early years, primary and special needs settings. Now working as an independent trainer and writer, this working mum has a heart felt passion for child-centred early years and primary learning. The creator of the Empathy Dolls Approach, she now works closely with childminders and nursery and primary school staff for local authorities across the United Kingdom to promote children's emotional development, independence, and positive mental health. Alistair was headteacher of a three-form entry infant school and Early Years Unit for 10 years. Alongside his headship he worked as an EYFS consultant working with a diverse range of settings to help them to enhance their EYFS practice. In 2009 Alistair left headship to go into full-time consultancy, and is now the proud owner of ABC Does. More recently, he has co-founded the child development app, My First Five Years. Alistair's experience and expertise has meant that he has been invited to work with individuals, settings and Local Authorities both nationally and internationally. Alistair is the author of Effective Transition into Year One and many books in the 50 Fantastic Ideas series. Visit abcdoes.com and mffy.com for new activity ideas and training opportunities, and follow Alistair on Twitter @ABCDoes.
ReviewsThe fresh ideas which the authors have come up with for this series are super - it really is a series which should be in every Early Years setting, ready to be picked up when inspiration fails. * www.parentsintouch.co.uk *
