Description

From the multi-award winning Bob Graham comes a romantic, hopeful and exquisitely-illustrated story, perfect for giving as a gift to the one that you love. It's 1830 in County Kerry, Ireland, and a gold ring is thrown into the wind by a young woman on a black horse... And as the seasons pass, and then the years, the little treasure finds itself on the most astonishing journey, finally settling at the bottom of a deep sea. Will the ring, inscribed with "love never dies", ever fulfil its destiny, and find the finger of a woman truly loved?

Reviews

"For proof that picture books can accommodate a great sweep of place, time and emotion, consider the work of Bob Graham. His stories focus on a detail and open up, like a camera zooming out, until we see a whole panorama. [...] Simply drawn, with muted colours, big scenes and faces with blobby noses, this also has Graham's characteristic compassion." * The Sunday Times, Children's Book of the Week * "Full of warmth, [...] a touching and romantic tale perfect for all on Valentine's Day." * Julia Eccleshare, LoveReading 4 Kids * "[...] a warm triumph; this small, apparently simple story is another of those that contains multitudes." -- Bob Graham * The Times Literary Supplement * "Enduring and optimistic, it reminds us that quite literally,m as well as emotionally, love never dies. A wonderfully enriching reading experience, beautifully illustrated." * Carousel * "A wonderfully enriching reading experience, beautifully illustrated." * Counsel *
