Before becoming a children's writer he was a film script reader, a market researcher, an NHS lackey, a part-time sparrow and a grape. Andy lives in North London and likes cartoons, books and music (even jazz). David Tazzyman studied illustration at Manchester Metropolitan University. He lives in Leicester with his wife and three sons.

Andy Stanton studied English at Oxford, and worked as a film script reader, a cartoonist, an NHS lackey and lots of other things. He has many interests, but best of all he likes Radio 4, books and music (even jazz). His books have won the Red House Children's Book Award, the Blue Peter Book Award for 'The Most Fun Story with Pictures', the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, and been shortlisted for the Guardian Children's Book Award. Kate Winslet is a hugely successful Hollywood actress with film credits including THE READER, for which she won an Academy Award for best Actress, ENIGMA, IRIS and TITANIC.
