Description
Following up on her bestselling Fast. Feast. Repeat., the bible of Intermittent Fasting, Gin Stephens uses her distinctive and winning blend of research, personal experience, and stories from IF-ers in her large and growing online community to take her ideas to the next level. In Clean(ish), Gin digs into not only the machinery of our bodies, but the workings of our homes to give simple swaps and strategies to support healthy weight. Clean(ish) will give readers: - A refresher on IF, or-if they aren't already trying IF-a primer - Food swaps, from meals to snacks to drinks, that will help anyone stay on their personal IF track - A Break from Fake: key strategies to pursue, from eating whole foods to recognizing stealthy processed non-foods, for optimum performance from every one of our body's systems - A new understanding of how our individual environments impact IF and Clean(ish) living: an audit of our medicine cabinets, make-up bags, and the box of supplies we all have under our sinks to remove disruptive toxins. - A trusted voice who is a cheerleader for real-world behaviors As Gin says, "clean-ish" means that we develop a focus on real foods and a healthier home environment that is free of obvious toxins, without becoming fixated on perfection. By living Clean-ish, we can maximize our efforts where it matters most, while still living an enjoyable lifestyle.
