Reviews

"A very useful and up-to date survey of excellent practice in teaching, learning and assessment from across the world. The global dimension to the book is particularly timely and fascinating - this is a "must read" for all those teaching in higher education today, in a sector which is becoming increasingly more internationalised." - Linda Carey, Educational Development Manager, Queen's University Belfast, UK "In this readable book, lecturers will find opportunities to reflect on their own teaching practices as well as practical advice and tips to implement in the classroom. The case studies, in particular, give us a window into the global world of teaching practices in higher education." - Donna Qualters, Director, Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), Tufts University, USA "This wide-ranging book brings together a wealth of information about effective teaching, learning and assessment and is illustrated with so many examples and suggestions that everyone in higher education will find something new and interesting to try out in their own situations." - Hetty Grunefeld, Senior Educational Consultant, Utrecht University, Netherlands "A thought-provoking encapsulation of global commonalities and variations in teaching and learning that will broaden the horizons of teachers and administrators alike as they re-think approaches to education in a rapidly internationalising environment." - Gordon Joughin, Professor of Higher Education
