Monica Szurmuk is Professor of Literature at the University of Buenos Aires. She is the author of Women in Argentina: Early Travel Narratives. She has also edited, with Robert McGee Irwin, the Dictionary of Latin American Cultural Studies. She is currently writing an intellectual biography of Alberto Gerchunoff.
