Description
Surviving Ourselves is about the vital relationship between Nature and the human spirit. In our intensive agricultural systems, our many ill-conceived business and political policies, this relationship has become fragmented. Through his own personal experiences, as well as the inspiring stories of others, this fourth-generation farmer relays a message of revolution and evolution that starts within ourselves. The resulting transition will help humanity adopt a more sustainable paradigm of existence.
Author Biography
Eric Herm was raised on a cotton farm near Ackerly, W. Texas. Herm left the farm to pursue other interests, traveling extensively through America, Mexico, Europe and Northern Africa. Witnessing various lifestyles, personalities and cultures helped open his mind to endless possible means by which to live a richer, more fulfilling life. Herm then returned back to the land that has been in his family for nearly a century to start his life as a farmer all over again.
ReviewsEric Herm is a seeker in the classic mold, hard on the trail of ways to change the world. -- Chris Walters, ACRES U.S.A."
