Description
TAOIST ASTRAL HEALING provides a step-by-step programme for refining our ability to cultivate circulate and retain chi from the stars and planets. Whilst the initial focus of Taoism centres on creating physical health that is deeply rooted in the energies provided by the earth individuals also require energies from the stars and planets to continue to grow in awareness and to develop their full soul potential. Harnessing the energies of the stars and planets allows us to break through the cycles of attraction and addiction create longevity and transform the physical and energy body into a 'light body' in order to heal ourselves and others. TAOIST ASTRAL HEALING teaches us how to connect the body with the five elemental forces of nature as well as the moon sun planets stars galaxies and other celestial phenomena. Noting the relationships between specific constellations and points on the body such as the Big Dipper's correspondence to the bones of the skull the authors offer planetary and stellar meditations that allow the inner and outer universes to become more connected. Following the numerous meditations and techniques provided throughout the book readers develop a personal practice based on an understanding of their planetary strengths and weaknesses and their own spiritual growth.
Author Biography
A student of several learned Taoist masters, Mantak Chia developed the Universal Tao System in 1979 and is the director of the Universal Tao Center in northern Thailand. He tours the United States annually giving workshops and lectures and is the author of 19 books, including The Multi-Orgasmic Man. Dirk Oellibrandt is codirector of the Du Mai center in Belgium, which explores the dynamics between universal laws and the re-creation of the human body through Oriental healing traditions.
Reviews"The accessible text explains Taoist healing and spiritual practices to Western audiences and brings a uniquely modern perspective to 5,000-year-old traditions. Chinese astrology, modern astronomy, and the craniosacral system are examined logically and concisely. . ." * Anna Jedrziewski, New Age Retailer, Spring, 2005 *
