Stephen Boyden has long been regarded as one of Australia's leading biological scientists, and is acknowledged internationally as a pioneer of the study of 'biohistory' - which is said to seek to understand the human condition by considering the relationship between human culture and biological processes, particularly with regard to the health of humans and ecosystems.
