Three-time governor and a U.S. senator, Daniel Evans authored the Washington State Wilderness Act protecting 1.5 million acres of wild lands. Trail Keepers of Oregon (TKO) and Washington Trails Association (WTA) protects and enhances the hiking experience through trail maintenance, advocacy, stewardship, outreach, and education in Oregon and Washington, respectively.
