Each essay engages with the individual's contribution to geography, their works and their lives and the intellectual and social contexts in which they worked and which helped shape them. Author Biography
Charles W.J. Withers is Professor of Historical Geography at the University of Edinburgh, UK. Hayden Lorimer is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Geographical and Earth Sciences at the University of Glasgow, UK.
