Description
Bob strikes back! Join a determined postman on his route across the galaxy in this hilarious graphic novel followup to The Postman from Space. Even as his delivery assignments get stranger and stranger, Bob is a dedicated and deadpan mail carrier who manages to remain unfazed. . . . Most of the time, anyway. This hilarious graphic novel follows Bob to several new planets (and a few old favorites) as he does his best to deliver the mail, train a new mail-carrier, and ends up facing down the infamous outer-space Biker Bandits! The colorful art features extraterrestrials and cinematic views of awe-inspiring alien landscapes, contrasting humorously with Bob's down-to-earth take on things. His adventures are as harrowing as they are hilarious in this follow-up to the award-winning graphic novel, The Postman from Space, a New York Public Library best book of the year and selection for the Little Maverick Reading List. A Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection

Reviews"This French Canadian import is a welcome antidote to the standard American comics sensibility. The pacing is unhurried, but the story is never less than completely engaging, and each panel is filled with quirky details that give the municipal spaceways a comfortable, lived-in feel."-Booklist "Perreault's variety of planetary settings, including the bone-shaped planet Fibula, showcase an endlessly charming imagination at work. . . . Children and adults are equally liable to sneak this book from the other's bookshelf to enjoy its inviting journey."-School Library Journal "A day in the life of an interplanetary postman becomes a comic, galaxywide romp. . . . The action is propelled by well-paced panels and humorous dialogue. Whimsical planets populated by quirky characters are created with pastel and earth tones delineated by rounded linework. Fanciful and fun"-Kirkus Reviews "Perreault's paneling is spot-on as we move through the adventure, and some seemingly dialogue miscues are actually optimized discussion departures about bullying and being judgmental . . . By the end of the journey, the overall takeaways are lessons in tolerance, understanding, trust and overcoming challenges - positive messages that propel Bob's adventure to a shared storytelling time to be cherished."-Mountain Times
