Author Biography
Matteo pericoli was born in Milan and lives in New York. He was the project architect for the Jubilee Church in Rome. His drawings have been published in the New York Times and the New Yorker, among others. His two books for adults of drawings of New York Manhattan Unfurled and Manhattan Within were unique in format and highly acclaimed. He has also written two books for children: See the City (inspired by Manhattan Unfurled) and The True Story of Stellina. His 388-foot-long mural for American Airlines new terminal at JFK airpot, NY was unveiled in 2007. He teaches architecture at Saint Annes School in Brooklyn, NY. His work has been exhibited at the Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimo of New York University. the New-York Historical Society, the Galleria II Gabbiano in Rome, Italy, the Municipal Art Society in Manhattan and the Basilica of S. Alessandro in Fiesole, Florence. Colum McCann is the author of several internationally best-selling short story collections and novels. His fiction has been published in 26 languages and has appeared in The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly and GQ among others. He has been the recipiant of numerous awards and honours including the Puchcart Prize. He has written for numerous publications including the Irish Times, Paris Match, the New York Times, the Guardian and the Independant. he lives in New York.
