Description
In the simply titled Birds, internationally renowned Australian artist Jeffrey Fisher captures their timeless elegance and beauty in 46 magnificent hand-painted small portraits. Each spread features a different bird in Fisher's signature style, paired with thoughtful musings on the species' history and lore. There are recognizable and rare birds in equal measure. The Great Spotted Kiwi, the European Bee-Eater and the Kakapo are portrayed in all their splendor. Unlike traditional bird guides, this is a gorgeous art object and a perfect addition to any bird lover's bookshelf. A charming and beautiful book to own for its beauty and interesting and informative text.
