Description
After Jeremy Bean's friend Max brings his seed collection to school for show-and-tell, suddenly everbody wants to have a collection to share with the rest of the class. But what will Jeremy collect? Rocks, sticks, stamps, coins...everything seems to already be taken! But after spending some time with his grandfather, Jeremy realizes he is already building the most unique collection of all. The three short stories in this book find Jeremy sharing, learning, and facing his fears. From his adventures in "Dust-Bunny" catching to facing his fear of a big, bald school principal, young readers will love getting to know Jeremy Bean!
Author Biography
Alice Schertle has a large collection of books and, she says, an even larger collection of dust bunnies. An award-winning poet, Alice has written dozens of books for children, including the 'irresistibly charming' (Booklist) The Adventures of Old Bo Bear. She lives in western Massachusetts, where she also collects abandoned birds' nests, old spoons, and Jeremy Bean stories. David Slonim claims Jeremy Bean lived next door to him all the years he was growing up. 'He was pretty cool,' says David. 'He turned into a writer.' David is the author-illustrator of He Came with the Couch, 'a rich and funny allegory ...at once irresistible and infectious.' (Time Out N.Y.) He lives in Indiana, where he always wears green on St. Patrick's Day.
