Description
Butterflies, age-old symbols of joy and transformation, adorn these notecards from photographer Deborah Schenck. These images are taken from Chinese watercolours in the Asian Export Art Department of the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts.
Author Biography
Deborah Schenck likes to take walks with her husband and her golden retrievers, collecting berries and flowers along the way for use in her beautiful photographs. She was drawn several years ago to the process of "Polaroid transfer," by which a photographic image is transferred to parchment paper rather than photographic paper. Originally from England, where she worked as a professional photographer, Deborah Schenck currently resides in Vermont.
