Description
Willie (short for Wilhelmina) is a fashion hound, a Jack Russell Terrier with beautiful bone structure and a wardrobe full of designer duds. This light, charming non-narrative hop through Willie's couture clothing in a variety of settings features hand-drawn pen-and-ink illustrations, plus hand-written captions that are irreverent, witty, and in-the-know, with celebrity and fashion names dropped in a light, playful way.
Author Biography
Alexander Stadler loves spring, cheese, France, and money. But mostly, he loves 20th century fashion and his dog, Willie. A printmaker by training, he has worked as a birthday party clown, sculptor's apprentice, primary school drama teacher, waiter, florist, window decorator, graveyard shift room service waiter, photo stylist, gallery assistant, prop designer, stage manager, soda jerk, and hair model. Alex loves to bake, especially cookies, and he collects measuring spoons.
