Doris Gove is the author of Audubon Guide to the National Wildlife Refuges: Southeast, 50 Hikes in the Tennessee Mountains, and several nature books for children. She leads hikes for Elderhostel groups and writes nature guides and newsletter articles for the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. She lives in Knoxville, Tennessee.
