Author Biography
Joi Barrios is a Lecturer in Filipino Language and Philippine Literature at the University of California, Berkeley. She received her Ph.D. from the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD) in Filipino and Philippine Literature and taught there as an Associate Professor. She has held positions at the Osaka University of Foreign Studies, UCLA, and UC Irvine. She returned to Manila to serve as Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Letters and Coordinator of Graduate Programs at the University of the Philippines before taking up her current position. She is the author of Tagalog for Beginners and Intermediate Tagalog, and resides in Berkeley, CA. Nenita Pambid Domingo, Ph.D., is the author of Anting-Anting o Kung Bakit Nagtatago sa Loob ng Bato si Bathala (UP Press) and co-author of Elementary Tagalog. Romulo Baquiran, Jr., Ph.D., currently serves as Associate Professor at the University of the Philippines. He is the author of Onyx (2003) and Hiwatig (2014).
