'This Is Hong Kong' was one of Sasek's three favourite books, along with 'This Is Venice' and 'This Is Edinburgh', because it was such an unusual book to do. The fun he had writing it shows in the illustrations.
Author Biography
M. Sasek was born in 1916 in Prague, Czechoslovakia. An author and illustrator, he is best remembered for his classic stories on the great cities of the world. He died in 1980.
