Description
This book is an introduction to all things Caterpillar. This photographic essay spans 1925 to present, emphasizing the company's modern state-of-the-art equipment, and is written by one of the company's most prolific historians. Starting with an explanation of the manufacturer's origins with Holt and Best, it quickly launches into the fun part - the equipment itself. It includes Track-type tractors (including Challengers and track loaders), Motorgraders, Scrapers (both pulled and powered), Haulers (including rear and bottom dumps), Wheel loaders and dozers (including compactors, backhoes, and skid-steer) and Hydraulic excavators.
