Saviour Pirotta has written numerous books for children, ranging from picture and information books to novels, including Turtle Bay which has been commended by the American Booksellers Magazine and the National Council for Social Studies. Many of his books are on religion and religious stories, and he visits many schools totalk to children about writing. He was born in Malta and is a trained chef.
