1920, London. Dora Bentley's mother is missing. When the gatekeeper at Grants clothing factory, where her mother works nights, tells Dora he's never heard of a Harriet Bentley, she starts to worry. With the help of a neighbour, Dora and her siblings investigate.
Author Biography
Beryl Matthews was born in London and grew up during the war. After a career in the inspection office of an aircraft factory, Beryl started writing fiction. Her first novel was published when she turned seventy.
