Jamie Reign and his best friends Wing and Jade have returned to Chia Wu battle-sore and weary. their victory against the depraved Recollector at Castle Rock has come at a huge cost, Wing's injury is getting worse, Feng Chow, although imprisoned on the island is still harbouring the evil spirit and worse of all, the great hope for the future, the Spirit Warrior has lost his connection to the Way. Using only deja vu as his guide, Jamie must discover the clues he hid when he had lived before. they are not far into their journey when Jamie is betrayed and he and his friends find themselves imprisoned. Injured and without a connection to the Way, they are helpless. With, however, a new-found respect for old-style Kung fu, a skill borrowed from Jade and a dash of her attitude as well, Jamie and his friends manage to outwit their captors and escape. this starts a desperate race between Jamie, the pirates and a malevolent spirit that takes them through the wilds, rivers and ancient ruins of Southern China. For Jamie, failure means more than losing his soul; it will mean losing a friend. Ages: 9-12

Paula Tierney grew up in the Blue Mountains and after leaving school studied at the University of Wollongong where she alsodiscovered the theatre and went into concert management. After meeting her partner James, they returned to his place of birth to work on the production of the Hong Kong Handover Celebrations. After six months on the boats and barges and tugs of Hong Kong Paula got to know the world James grew up in, its history and its mysteries.
