Author Biography

A. Cecil Edwards was the buyer for Oriental Carpet Manufacturers, manufacturing and exporting oriental carpets, both Turkish and Persian, to the West. Over the years he travelled in Iran and Russia for business, finally settling in the UK. He died in 1953, the same year his classic book The Persian Carpet was originally published by Duckworth Press.
