Description
The basis of all the quilts in this book is just half a Jelly Roll. Each Jelly Roll makes two different quilt designs each made from twenty strips from the Jelly Roll. Readers will be delighted to find they get two quilts for the price of one. The two designs from the same strip roll look totally different both in design and color. Each is described with step-by-step instructions and diagrams. Readers can cut their own twenty strips from their fabric stash, and will find loads of inspiration for making a range of cot quilts, play-mats and wall hangings for their loved ones. Any of the designs can be adapted to make a larger quilt by referring to the vital statistics section, which contains all the required information and a few small calculations to make any size quilt the reader wants. |Two from One Jelly Roll Quilts: Learn how to make two different quilts using just one Jelly Roll half the fabric, twice the inspiration! Each chapter features two quilt designs made from one Jelly Roll pre-cut fabric pack, using twenty strips of fabric for one quilt pattern and twenty strips of fabric for the other. You don't even have to use a Jelly Roll if you don't want to, you could easily cut strips from your own fabric stash and then follow the step-by-step instructions and quilting diagrams provided with each design. There are 18 quilt patterns included to help you make your fabric go further, and the finished quilts make great throws, lap quilts, wall hangings, cot quilts and play mats. All of the amazing designs are quick to make, and it is easy to adapt them to make larger bed quilts following the simple guidance provided. Includes all the basic quilting techniques you need to know to get started, from how to sew a seam, pinning fabric, chain piecing and removing dog ears, to setting on point and how to bind a quilt.|The patterns make ideal knitting for beginners and the more advanced, with knitting techniques ranging from easy knit and purl to sock knitting styles on double pointed needles.
