Description
A sequel to "Cream", this book presents new work by 100 new artists, selected by ten curators, providing a global overview of the contemporary art world. Arranged A-Z, numerous examples of each artist's work is featured alongside a brief text from the curator, and biographical information about the artist. A conversation on the Internet between the ten curators gives an insight into their curatorial practice. The cultural context in which the artists work - from philosophy, to fiction or theory - is presented by 10 contemporary writers. These are accompanied by a short blurb by each curator explaining their choice of text.

(Black Book, New York) 'Accessible, intellectual, low brow, humorous, serious ... the essence of the twenty-first century is distilled in this volume.' (Blueprint) 'An eclectic, truly international selection of work ... the images make fascinating viewing.' (Creative Review) 'A stimulating parade of artists of all ages, nationalities and tendencies, each from the personal top ten of a wide-ranging cultural line-up, Fresh Cream does more than any other survey to show that international contemporary art cannot be confined to any particular centres or pigeonholes and it does more than any blockbuster exhibition in exposing work of a great many artists to fresh new audiences.'
