Description

Little Gorilla is going to the doctor for a shot. His mom says it's because she has to look after him. But that's the problem--his mom always looks after him so much. First, she makes him eat broccoli, then, whenever he sneezes, he has to put on an extra sweater. And now a shot! But it's not all bad--the doctor gives Little Gorilla a stick-thing that smells of strawberries for being brave. He loves it--but then he leaves it on the bus on the way home! Little Gorilla is distraught--but his mom takes him back to the doctor for another stick thing. His mom really does look after him so much.

Author Biography

Sean Taylor is an award-winning author of over 50 books for young readers of many different ages. As well as writing, he has many years' experience visiting schools, where he works with poetry and storytelling to encourage young people to write themselves. He lives with his wife and two sons in Bristol. David has been a shelf-stacker, a library assistant, a call-centre worker, a civil servant and a printer, so obviously it was only a matter of time before he tried his hand at writing and illustrating children's books. David was shortlisted for the Waterstone's Children's Book Prize. Have You Seen Elephant? followed by his second picture book as author-illustrator Barnaby Goes on Holiday. David has also illustrated Troll Stroll and Ice Sea Pirates. He lives in Kettering, UK with his toughest critics: partner Jo, son Teddy and cat Sofia.
