Author Biography
Teresa Heapy (Author) Teresa swapped the office desk for the kitchen table in 2009, having worked as a Commissioning Editor for Oxford University Press for several years and deciding that what she really wanted to do was write books. Since then, she has written about gorillas, Batman, the ugly duckling and green goo (not all in the same book) for Raintree, Pearson, OUP and HarperCollins. In her spare time, she does comedy improvisation and plays the ukulele. She lives in Oxford, England, with her husband and three children. www.teresaheapy.co.uk Sue Heap (Illustrator) Sue Heap is a children's picture book illustrator and story writer. She has worked in collaboration with a number of writers including Sally Lloyd-Jones. Sue and Sally worked on a series of How to . . . books with How to be a Baby being a New York Times bestseller. Another of Sue's books is Cowboy Baby, inspired by a visit to Arizona, which won the prestigious Gold Smarties Award for best picture book. Sue lives in Oxfordshire.
ReviewsThis is another enchanting addition to the Heapy/Heap Very Little series and the maps on the inside front and back covers suggest more to come: I hope so. Reading these books aloud is a delight and I can't wait for my first opportunity to grab some suitably small children and share this one with them. -- Jill Bennett * Jill R Bennett Wordpress (https://jillrbennett.wordpress.com/2016/05/11/fairy-tales-anew/) * With lovable and distinctive characters, it has a very easy-reading and gentle style of writing and is a feel-good tale; just the right length to send toddlers off to sleep . . . Very Little Sleeping Beauty makes an engaging and easy read for young children that will be clamoured for again and again at bedtime (and a brilliant thing too!). -- Mango Bubbles * Mango Bubbles Books (https://mangobubblesbooks.com/2016/05/04/very-little-sleeping-beauty-teresa-heapy-and-sue-heap-reviewed-by-pheebs-14/) *
