Reviews

Inspired when he one day found his father's old dressing gown and felt instantly close to him, Browne wrote this lovingly illustrated tribute to a child's pride in his father. It instantly appeals: most children see their parents as superheroes even when their feats of heroism are simple everyday tasks * Junior * This is a perfect title for children to share with their dads. With a very minimal text and wonderful full page illustrations, this is a title that will warm the hearts of readers of all ages * Through the Looking Glass * The pictures are extraordinary and unforgettable and celebrate dads in a way few books do * Independent * For sheer illustrative wit, Anthony Browne is unsurpassed * The Times * Delightfully simple but visually impish * Literary Review *
