Author Biography
Professor Graeme Davison is Head of the School of Historical Studies at Monash University, and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and the Academy of the Humanities. His main interest is in the history of cities. His books include Car Wars and The Unforgiving Minute: How Australia Learned to Tell the Time. He edited Australians 1888 and the Oxford Companion to Australian History.
