Description
Investigating Religion - Study of Religion for Senior Secondary Students for the revised Study of Religion syllabus in Queensland. The Inquiry Model aims to develop students' investigative and thinking skills, ability to formulate ideas, make judgements and reach conclusions. Encourages students to move beyond the acquisition of facts to meta-cognition and the development of ideas and concepts. Investigating Religion has been structured to address the five aspects of inquiry outlined in the Study of Religion syllabus, namely: * Framing * Investigating * Reasoning * Judging * Reflecting. Cater for all levels of student ability and learning styles. Students explore and critique the role religion has played, and continues to play, in the world. They learn about religion by: * Looking at it as part of complex social, political and cultural dialogues * Developing knowledge, analysis and critical thinking * Exploring justice issues such as equality, gender, ethnicity and inclusivity
