This new addition to the Cambridge School Shakespeare series takes account of the work of the Shakespeare and Schools Project, the national curriculum for English and developments at GCSE and A Level. It treats The Winter's Tale as theatre and its text as script, enabling pupils to inhabit the imaginative world of the play in a meaningful and creative way. Cambridge School Shakespeare encourages students to participate actively in examining the plays, to work in groups as well as individually, to treat the plays as scripts to be re-created, and to explore their theatrical/dramatic qualities.
