American novelist and photographer Jerry Yulsman (1924-99) is best known for his photographs of Jack Kerouac and for his two novels, The Last Liberator and Elleander Morning, the latter of which won the 1986 Ditmar Award for best international fiction and the 1987 Kurd-Lasswitz-Preis.
