This second volume of articles selected from Screen Education focuses on photography, reprinting work by John Berger, Victor Burgin, Griselda Pollock, Jo Spence, John Tagg and others. Screen Education was a remarkably innovatory journal which uniquely combined work in media studies, education and pedagogy. Screen Education published theoretical discussions and practical investigations of the reading of still images in their own right and as precursors to film and television analysis. The journal thereby pioneered the development of the concept of 'representation' which has become a key term for media analysis.
