Author Biography
Sommelier Marnie Old is known for her engaging, intuitive explanations of complex wine topics. She writes a humorous wine column for the Philadelphia Daily News and is a featured speaker at the annual Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. Formerly director of wine studies for Manhattan's esteemed French Culinary Institute, Old also served as the founding education chairperson for the American Sommelier Association. She is also the co-author of He Said Beer, She Said Wine (DK) alongside Sam Calagione, founder of Dogfish Head Craft Brewery.
