Author Biography

Charles MacLean has been researching, writing, and lecturing on whisky for over 30 years. He is the author of 10 books on the subject, including the standard work on whisky brands, Scotch Whisky and Malt Whisky. His books have won numerous prestigious food and drink awards over the years. In 1992 Charles was elected a Keeper of the Quaich for his services to whisky, and in 2009 he was elevated to Master of the Quaich, an accolade only given to a select few each year.
