Author Biography

HELEN LESTER isProfessor of Primary Care at the National Centre for Primary Care Research and Development at the University of Manchester, UK,and Lead of the Manchester element of the National School for Primary Care Research. She is also co-lead of the academic panel that reviews evidence for the national primary care Quality and Outcomes Framework and Secretary of Society of Academic Primary Care. Her main research interests are primary care mental health, health inequalities and user involvement. JON GLASBY is Professor of Health and Social Care and Director of the Health Services Management Centre at the University of Birmingham, UK.He is a qualified social worker by background and a board member of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE). Specialising in joint work between health and social care, Jon is involved in regular policy analysis and advice. He sits on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Integrated Care and the Journal of Integrated Care.
